A fake imperial building has been found in the Australian capital Canberra, where it was allegedly made by workers in a factory.
The fake building material, made up of metal foil, aluminium foil, and a sheet of plastic, was discovered at a factory that was closed on January 31, according to the ABC.
The building material is a mix of aluminium foil and sheet metal and was originally used to create the glass panels used in the new Perth Metro.
It was later imported into Canberra to make the “urban glass” used to cover the new national parliament.
According to the Canberra Times, the building material has since been destroyed and no one has been charged.
The ABC has contacted the building company and will update this story if we receive any further information.
